Harbor Entertainment planned and produced two launch events to showcase the three new expressions of The Glenrothes Whisky- Vintage Reserve, Sherry Cask Reserve, and Bourbon Cask Reserve. Both events featured The Glenrothes vinyl bar that was custom made for The Glenrothes and new marketing materials such as brochures, a step and repeat, and vinyl banners illustrating the new whisky’s and their old vs. vintage marketing story. Harbor Entertainment handled all planning, logistics, and room design for each event.
The first event took place at Zuma in NYC, a venue taking up a full city block on Madison Avenue with views of Manhattan. This event featured a DJ mixing classic hits from the 60’s, 70’s, & 80’s with more current tracks to highlight this “new” vintage whisky. A 68′ Triumph motorcycle was brought in as the centerpiece to highlight a true quality vintage feel and custom Glenrothes cocktails were mixed. Guests enjoyed taking polaroid pictures to capture their “vintage moment” at the event.
The west coast launch event took place at the Fairmont Hotel in Santa Monica, CA in the Fig and Olive Restaurant. It featured some of the key elements from the east cost launch; however, the atmosphere was completely different. Sitting on the beautiful California coast guests enjoyed a DJ mixing classic vinyl (milk crates and all), specialty Glenrothes cocktails, an educational tasting from The Whisky Dog’s own ambassadors at the vinyl bar, and polaroid pictures for everyone.
